DiscipleConnect™ Churches Benefit from Ongoing Product Development Based on Customer Feedback

Atlanta, GA (November 15) elliptIQ has announced a preview of exciting new upgrades and enhancements to its leading edge DiscipleConnect faith community network product. Soon to be released, DiscipleConnect 2006 will raise the bar to an even higher level. elliptIQ regularly surveys its customers to determine improvements to the application and ideas for new features. The changes in the upcoming release will dramatically enhance the availability and presentation of fresh and relevant content in dynamic churches.

Key New Features in DiscipleConnect Include:

Library or Inventory Component - The library component allows for tracking of physical items that it possesses and may have loaned out. The library will also help members locate and find items that are held within the library. It will include integrated search, online checkout requests with availability notifications and offer import / export tools for importing existing inventory and creating lists for use offline.

Online Giving - Online Giving allows for your church to accept donations online with a very simple setup process. The component allows rxportable excel spreadsheet reports of donations received, integration with User Management through addition of member number for tracking gifts over time and the ability to manually enter offline donations to facilitate centralized online tracking of gifts given. (Merchant Account, Payment Gateway, and transaction fees may apply)

Blog Component - The Blog (or weblog) component allows users to record their daily thoughts and ideas in a journal format. The Blog component allows for frequent updates, with automatic ordering by date and time. A summary page is included for each blog, along with integrated search tools. Administrative settings are available to define whether blogs are fully public or private to the community.

The component includes built-in WYSISYG editor for ease of publication, commenting system for reader comments with controls to determine if and how comments are displayed, functionality to alert users when blogs are updated, word verification system to prevent blog spamming and RSS feeds for public blogs

Print Features (PDF) - PDF Print features are a vast improvement over past printing options. Initially, PDF Printing will be available for the Calendar, Member Directory, Commercial Directory Listings. Changes will allow customizable print titles including graphics, additional print settings available to administrator, overlay graphics on printable calendars, a printable member directory with options for information included on printout.

New Members Display Component - A great way to welcome new members into the church, "New Members" provides a location to easily introduce new members, using information pulled from their Member Directory listing along with additional introductory information. Administrative controls allow for determining how many new members to display for how long as well as selection of information to be displayed. Members have the ability to greet the new member by sending email greetings.
